The Most Dedicated Official Award recognizes the official who consistently demonstrates
exceptional commitment, reliability, professionalism, and a strong desire to support and improve
the game.

Nomination Criteria

1. Availability & Commitment
• Consistently accepts assignments
• Willing to officiate across different levels/divisions
• Shows flexibility, including last-minute or difficult assignments
• Demonstrates strong overall presence throughout the season

2. Reliability & Punctuality
• Arrives on time (or early) for games
• Rarely cancels or no-shows
• Communicates proactively about availability or issues
• Can be counted on in high-pressure or important situations

3. Work Ethic
• Maintains high effort and focus throughout games
• Demonstrates hustle, positioning, and engagement
• Takes assignments seriously regardless of level
• Shows consistency in performance

4. Professionalism
• Maintains composure with players, coaches, and spectators
• Demonstrates respect, fairness, and integrity
• Represents the region positively on and off the ice
• Handles conflict appropriately

5. Willingness to Improve
• Actively seeks feedback
• Applies feedback to improve performance
• Participates in clinics or mentorship
• Shows growth over time

6. Teamwork & Support
• Works well with partner officials
• Supports newer or less experienced referees
• Communicates effectively during games
• Contributes to a positive officiating environment

7. Extra Contributions
• Helps with scheduling, mentoring, or development
• Volunteers for additional responsibilities
• Goes above and beyond assigned duties
• Contributes to the referee community
