North Region Clinic Information

2025-2026
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR NORTH REGION OFFICIALS (EDMONTON & AREA)

Registration will not open until August 1.

1. New officials regardless of their age in the North Region (including Edmonton and surrounding areas) are required
to attend an in-person clinic in their home community first and foremost. If this is not possible, they must contact their local RIC (based on their address) to request approval to attend a clinic in another community.

2. We understand that scheduling conflicts may arise. In such cases, officials must contact both:
- Their home community RIC, and
- The RIC of the community where they wish to attend the clinic.
- Both RICs must approve the request. RICs may decline out-of-community officials until all local officials have registered.

3. Officials who attend a clinic outside their home community without prior approval will be assigned games by the community where they took the clinic and will not get games from their home community.

4. To register for a clinic in the Edmonton area, please email the clinic contact listed in the attached sheet for registration instructions. Each clinic contact has an email link attached to their name to make it a bit easier to communicate with them.

5. Officials may only register for one clinic. If a conflict arises after registration:
- Contact the RIC or clinic contact of the desired new clinic to check availability.
- Then contact the North Region Clinic Coordinator to request a transfer.
- For refund requests, please contact the Manager of Officiating at Hockey Alberta (Liam MacIsaac).
